American Pride
The 4th of July is proof in the Big Bang theory ๐ฅof creation. Maybe that's why there are so many births in early April Antoinette!๐
Good morning America... it's the first week of July and that's certainly something in which we can take Pride! Afterall, the astrological sign Leo begins this month and we Americans are like a pride of lions๐ฆ so I nominate we call July American Pride Month! Of course this week 243 years ago we declared our independence from an overburdening, over taxing, free speech limiting, gun banning government led by a fatuous and supercilious Royal๐คด and governed by a cadre of out of touch, out of their collective mind, shortsighted bureaucrats๐ค who much to their own demise ignored their citizens, business leaders, and common sense and in so doing created the "City upon a hill" and the beacon for all. ๐บ๐ธ
That failed tyrannical despot and henchmen cut their nose off to spite their face and believe it or not, despite an insane likemindedness, not a single one of them were on the debate stage last week quoting Che in Miami, throwing tomahawks at their rivals to leave a trail of tears, trying to out virtue signal their wokeness, calling on Americans to pay for "free stuff" for any constituent that could possibly buy them a vote, or promising biological males abortion rights. Hmm?๐ค (I guess I missed that day in biology). This was the week where those who first Made America Great put it on the line. These were no sunshine patriots✌. The worlds best, oldest, longestlastingest and most fervent guarantor of Democracy took their first steps and overcame the times that try men's souls! That's certainly something to take pride in and cheer so this week raise your glass in salute ๐ฅlike Steve McQueen ๐ and do the Great Escape from summer heat๐ก, clown show debates๐คก, and too many clothes๐! "Up the rebels, down the British!" Now of course June was Pride month also, but the only one attacking gays anymore is Jussie Smollett.๐ Of course the Good ol USA isn't perfect๐บ๐ธ, and we need to be diligent in our efforts to maintain the Spirit of '76, the resolve to persevere in tough times, and the strength to never play the part of the victim๐ช. We don't need pretentious, prevaricating, provocateurs pontificating profusely๐ฃ about how they really or virtually have been oppressed, and suppressed, and compressed, and depressed, and repressed and full court pressed ๐ญso much that everyone owes them for everything. Have a big cup ☕of STFU! If the campaign strategy is to get people with sense to suspend all logic then America it's time to really start drinking๐ธ because I saw that movie! ๐ขActually I never saw Titanic, but I do know that leaky boats don't float well. Btw if there was ever a reason for climate alarmist, DiCaprio fans, and the 25000 Democratic/ Socialist/ Progressive candidates for president to relax about climate fears it's that movie! No icebergs, no tragedy! ๐ค๐คAnd Greenland will be green! Time to right the ship, steady the course and remember why America ia great๐. The founding fathers are a good place to start, along with the grit and determination of America's pioneer spirit, inventive ingenuity, entrepreneurial endeavors and strong moral character. A democracy of many is messy, but like Churchill said, "democracy is the worst form of government... EXCEPT FOR ALL THE OTHERS!" America is great because of our individuals...E Pluribus Unum! Out of many one... it's not pick one from the many and copy like a sheep๐! This week also marks the turning point of the Civil War, Gettysburg and Vicksburg, which forever forged the steel of our Union and ultimately ensured the veracity of the words..." all men were created equal!" ๐ฉLincoln guided us through those dark days, but he also warned that "America would never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose our freedoms it will be because we destroyed ourselves." An outside observer and Frenchmen, A. de Tocqueville noted that "America is great because she is good, and if America ever ceases to be good she will cease to be great." ๐ผHe also later said that the "America Republic will endure until the day Congress ๐ดdiscovers that it can bribe the public๐ค๐ต with the public money." Don't be bribed my fellow Americans. It's time to use the celebrations of the 4th to rededicate ourselves to the principles of our founding while we guzzle our adult beverage ๐พ๐ท๐ธ๐น๐บ๐ป๐ฅof choice, stuff our face with bbq๐ฅฉ๐ญ๐, attempt dangerous stunts with firecrackers๐๐๐งจ✨๐ฃ๐ฅ, admire summer attire ๐while wishing we had spent more time in the gym along with any other pursuit of happiness that floats your boat๐️♂️๐♂️. We don't need candidates that require adult supervision, and just because a "glass of water" can win in NYC Burroughs #AOC, or a mistress in California's lavatory cities (I mean sanctuary cities #KamalaHarris) doesn't mean they should be repping America. Time for America to go retro and remember who and what Made America Great. If you don't believe me just ask the Boss why we are The Land of Hope and Dreams...
I will provide for you
And I'll stand by your side
You'll need a good companion
For this part of the ride
Leave behind your sorrows
Let this day be the last
Tomorrow there'll be sunshine
And all this darkness past
And I'll stand by your side
You'll need a good companion
For this part of the ride
Leave behind your sorrows
Let this day be the last
Tomorrow there'll be sunshine
And all this darkness past
Big wheels roll through fields
Where sunlight streams
Meet me in a land of hope and dreams
Where sunlight streams
Meet me in a land of hope and dreams
This train carries saints and sinners
This train carries losers and winners
This train carries whores and gamblers
This train carries lost souls
I said, this train dreams will not be thwarted
This train faith will be rewarded
This train hear the steel wheels singin'
This train bells of freedom ringin
This train carries losers and winners
This train carries whores and gamblers
This train carries lost souls
I said, this train dreams will not be thwarted
This train faith will be rewarded
This train hear the steel wheels singin'
This train bells of freedom ringin
