Well boys and girls we've reached the halfway point of summer! And while it might not technically be summer's halfway point since the solstice was only a couple weeks ago...regular people know midsummer comes when baseball takes a rest at the half way point ⏳of the season, school age kids are half way through vacay🏊♂️, and adults suffering from nearly a week long dirth of sports⚾️ are forced to do something else with their time🍸. In Shakespeare's day they celebrated midsummer with days long festivals, romantic intrigues and dreams of fairies where everyone was infected with pansy dust. (Just think San Fran, yeah #metoo). I guess it's all kind of confusing, but then again we live in confusing times so you might want to refill the beverage🍺. Along with the midsummer confusion we have gender confusion because now instead of being either/or♀️♂️, it's either, or, or, or, or etc. etc. 🧚♂️🧚♀️We have the confusion over when is a concentration camp a concentration camp and when is it a place where people go to learn how to focus🤔, or just hang out really close to each other?👨👩👧👦 We also have the confusion over what's Patriotic 🇺🇸and what's offensive.
Apparently the Betsy Ross flag is somehow offensive to somebody somewhere with big hair and is an unemployed athlete who got millions for being unemployed but feels victimized by the system🏛 and unprotected by the law👮♂️. So an athletic shoe company 👟decides to make this former 3rd string now unemployed athlete🏈 their poster child to sell athletic shoes as long as the shoes aren't offensive to him because...well who knows.🤔 Of course it is ironic, actually hypocritical, that he voices his complaints while wearing a Che t-shirt☠. You know... the notorious communist who personally executed political rivals, had the Cuban🇨🇺 military police kill any voice of protest etc. etc. Also hypocritically confusing when Nike stood by communist police state China🇨🇳 where their shoes are made against free and democratic Japan🇯🇵 over support of Hong Kong protests. This is called pandering wrapped up in the profit motive💰. I know...confusing right. Speaking of which you have the recent FBI investigations into a wannabe president and a sitting president. The first was deemed guilty but shouldn't be charged (#ImWithHer) and the second was proven innocent but should be charged say some (#TDS). Just as confusing were the recent presidential debates where complete suspension of all facts and logic were required to get through the nonsense. Think 1984's "doublespeak." Two plus two is not four... it's whatever the party says it is. "The economy isn't working" they all claimed. Actually it's good across the board and the best ever for many demographic groups. "Unemployment is low because people have multiple jobs." Huh? "Wages are stagnant, especially for the poor." Actually, there's a 6.5% growth in wages (double the rest) for lowest 10th percentile. Well you get the picture. Meanwhile, the 116th Congress has spent their whole session looking at game film of the last election and trying to reschedule the game because they didn't like how that democratic election ended and they apparently have NOTHING else to do except create distractions. I wonder if they mentioned that in their campaign speeches. More irony over taxes... you get back less this year because hey... you paid less! You got to keep your money up front. And as for calls for the president's tax returns to waste more time... maybe you should wonder less about the taxes of a billionaire before he came to office, and care more about all the multi millionaires who have only ever worked on the public dime. Explain that income! Again, it's very confusing. Politics is sports in a manner of speaking. It can be rough and tumble and it certainly seems that many politicians are concussed and showing signs of severe brain trauma. In fact there were 20 on the stage a week ago who would tell you that America isn't the best country, (20 million illegals beg to differ), and that the only way to make it better is to give these few concussed individuals (Big Brother) all the power, more money, with strict enforcement of limited speech (newspeak), party platitudes (doublespeak) even though what they say smacks of cognitive dissonance (doublethink) and bury our heritage in the graveyard of history (memory hole) etc. Because these policies worked in Oceania in 1984. But don't be confused and don't be sad or afraid. I have the solution. It's summer so keep your disposition positive, your outlook sunny, and your optimism rosy. Start by filling your glass with your favorite adult beverage🍹. Then remember we are a country built on the foundation of the individual as sacrosanct🗽. So just as in Shakespeare's play, it's time this midsummer to shake off the pansy dust from those drug dealing fairies💊🧚♂️🧚♀️, reclaim your individualism like Oberon, Titania, Lysander etc. and choose your own direction. Free of propaganda, coercion, and all the other soulless policies of mass "isms." Mass government means mass control🔗....when is that ever a good idea? Time to rinse off the pansy dust, don't be bribed with your own money (taxes) and don't let Big Brother🧟♂️ ruin your summer. Besides, I'm going to leave you a little something for the effort..."Gunga Galunga" and you will now have total consciousness🙌... so you at least have that going for you. Now all you need is the Red Rider (don't shoot your eye out) to fend off the Lunatic Fringe...
